“Stand Up And Shout” was formed to bring awareness and education about cancer with the understanding that cancer screening and prevention is of vital importance in avoiding this deadly disease that robs families of their loved ones.
The philosophy stems from the notion that “Knowledge Equals Power.” Cancer screening allows people to effectively plan strategies to deal with the disease early on and affords a better chance to overcome the cancer.
The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund is committed to providing free cancer screening programs and testing to all people regardless of their ability to pay. The fund will support community outreach programs and help provide the necessary equipment and personnel to test and screen people for cancer.
The fund also provides financial support to those afflicted with cancer that cannot access treatment due to the overwhelming financial burden of dealing with cancer.

We promise that everyone will get the memorial package/shirt if you donated before the new "MEMORIAL PACKAGE" button was added! As long as you put your size somewhere in the notes section, we will know what size to get you, if you forgot to include your shirt size, we have a team working very hard to get every donation package out and will contact you via E-mail. Our First Release And The Dio Web Store!!
We are getting ready to launch the Official Dio Web Store by the end of July!
The store will have VERY RARE items like shirts that were made just for the crew, original "Holy Diver" and "Last In Line" Tour Shirts from the 80's, Dio Jackets, hoodies, very limited edition item as well as special prints and more!
We are also working on our first releases for the Niji Entertainment Group, including "Holy Diver" on 180 gram multi colored vinyl, plus the complete vinyl and CD boxes that will be released in time for the holidays!
Before Ronnie's passing, Wendy asked him to come up with a name for the vinyl box and he picked a great name: "For The Record: The Complete Dio Vinyl Collection!" Each LP will be on 180 gram vinyl and each LP with have a different color vinyl!!

The Niji Entertainment Group was started by Wendy and Ronnie Dio while Ronnie was alive and he was very involved with listening to masters and coming up with names for the products that we planned on releasing. Ronnie was so EXCITED about the label!!!! Ronnie came up with the title for the vinyl box, "For The Record: T...he Complete Dio Vinyl Collection." We hope to have both the vinyl box and CD box out by the Holidays! Save your pennies now!!

Our first release at the Niji Entertainment Group will be the 180 gram multi colored vinyl release of "Holy Diver!" It will be mastered from the original analog tapes and I know Ronnie will be VERY happy and proud and is smiling right now! We are also working on other reissues that Ronnie knew about and was excited about! I personally made Ronnie a promise the last day I spent with him to make sure that EVERY release that we put out was just the way that Ronnie would want it, ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! It's going to sound GREAT! The packaging will be second to none and we will give value to the fans! That was VERY important to Ronnie! Ronnie loved his fans and loved making music!

There are 6-7 other titles that we are working on and we will announce these as soon as we can, hopefully this week! We are keeping Ronnie's music alive for generations to come, again, just like Ronnie would want them released, PERFECT! We hope to have our first releases out by late September/early October!

In other Dio news, I'm happy to report that we are planning to launch the Official Dio Store in late July! The store will feature many amazing ORIGINAL Dio collectibles, including original Tour shirts, crew shirts, Jackets, limited edition items, Rare Tour Jerseys from the first tours like "Holy Diver," "The Last In Line" and "Sacred Heart!' They are NOT reproductions, but the original shirts, early tour programs and a whole lot more! We are just starting to inventory the items in storage and will get the store launched ASAP.

Just so there is NO CONFUSION when we do things to raise money for the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund, we will always let you know that if you make a donation, your money goes to the fund. The Niji Entertainment Group and The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund are TOTALLY SEPARATE.

An Update From Wendy Dio
I received the Articles of Incorporation of The Ronnie James Dio "Stand Up and Shout" Cancer Fund, a California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation on June 1st 2010. The Registration is # 3295083 from the Secretary of State of the State of California, which states: This corporation is a nonprofit corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any person. It is organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law for charitable purposes.
The specific purpose of this corporation is primarily to provide free cancer screening programs and testing to the public regardless of any individual's ability to pay for same, to provide financial assistance to cancer patients who are burdened with the cost of health care. Additionally this corporation may engage in activities that are reasonably related to or in furtherance of its stated charitable purposes or in any other charitable activities. This Corporation is organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the Code).
The Board of Directors are as follows, Gloria Butler, Wendy Dio, Dr.Lois Lee, Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, Stanley J. Diamond (attorney at law) John Doran CPA, Adam Parsons, Tim Murch, Paul Newman, Nick Jackson, Neil Warnock, Robin Shaw, Maureen O'Connor, Dean Schachtel and Sheila Melody.
The funds are being held in Wells Fargo Bank, to date we have received donations of $170,620.69 through PayPal, and $38,003.05 in cheques. We received a $10,000 donation from Metallica, and generous donations from Deep Purple, Slash and Metal Blade Records and from all the wonderful friends and fans.
We held our first Board meeting on June 9th and discussed our first release of funds going to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston Texas, The T.J. Martell Foundation and other Cancer Centers, we will be requesting proposals from each organization as to how the donation will be spent to be considered by the Board, before any funds are released to them. I will keep you updated of where your money is going, and can assure you it will NOT be going into any administration costs, but to the people that need it. This is the main reason I wanted to form this Fund, so we do know where the money goes and not eaten up by a big corporation that does have administration costs.
The T-shirts and buttons were made and sold to us at cost by Blastwaves Merchandise, the Memorial books I personally paid for, and we have to charge postage, as the Post Office does not mail out for free, there are NO other administration costs. The Memorial packages are packed and addressed at my office by friends and Board Members who volunteer their time.

Heaven & Hell To Perform A Tribute To Ronnie James Dio At High Voltage Festival, London, Saturday 24th July 2010.
Proceeds to be donated to the Ronnie James Dio “Stand Up And Shout” Cancer Fund- Official Festival Charity.
Remaining Heaven & Hell members Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice are set to play a one off show to celebrate Ronnie’s life and work at High Voltage Festival, London on 24th July 2010. The band will be completed by Glenn Hughes and Jorn Lande who will both contribute vocals. Former Deep Purple / Black Sabbath star Glenn Hughes was a close friend of Ronnie’s for many years and performed a musical tribute at Ronnie’s funeral service in Los Angeles. Norwegian Jorn Lande is best known in the UK as the vocalist for power metal band Masterplan, he has also released many solo albums including a tribute to Ronnie. It promises to be a fitting celebration to a man that the metal scene owes so much. >p> There will also be an opportunity to pay respects by signing a condolence book in the Ronnie James Dio Tribute Gallery, which will be presented to members of the Ronnie James Dio “Stand Up And Shout” Cancer Fund the official festival charity, and join thousands of fans for what will be a very emotional performance.

Unfortunately, we have run out of the booklets from the Memorial Service. You will still get the Memorial Shirt and Button. We understand that some of you may want to cancel your donation and if you choose to do this, please understand that is perfectly OK. We ask that YOU DO NOT file a dispute with PayPal, rather, please send an E-mail to: nijirjd@aol.com asking to cancel your donation. You must include the date you ordered! We will refund your donation back to your PayPal account or issue your check back. If you decide that you still want the Thank You Gift, you need not contact us or do anything, it will still be sent to you without the booklet.
