It was really cool. He personally signed the front cover and added a note that read, "What a legend. RIP RJD."

I got to the book, it has a chapter about Ronnie growing up, what he was like in high school, and a little bit about his time in Sabbath and Rainbow (and all bands before, like the Rumblers, Vegas Kings, Prophets, Electric Elves, Elves, Elf, etc.). Then it rushes headlong into the Holy Diver album, and its recording process. He goes through each album, song by song, and Ronnie tells you what he thinks of each song. I enjoyed it.

Sounds good - did you meet the man or request if from a specific site? Just interested in how you got it signed.

Here's a brand new copy of the 1st Edition of this excellent book. Your copy will be hand signed by the Author himself and dedicated to you personally. This is the ONLY book out there that details Ronnie James Dio's legendary career. Please take note: Books will be hand signed to YOU unless otherwise specified. In other words, let us know immediately if this is a present for someone else. Martin Popoff is the last word when it comes to metal and he happens to be a neighbour of mine so we're working together to get his books out to the fans. « Show less

(Note that I don't have any information other than what I just pasted in, so this isn't an "endorsement" of a seller with only two ratings-- but I think I'll order a copy once my paycheck comes at the end of the month)

Ha! That would be the easy way, wouldn't it.

Leave it to me to make things more complicated than they need to be.
